Awarapan 2 is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language romantic action-drama film directed by Nitin Kakkar. Produced by Vishesh Bhatt under the banner of Vishesh Films. A sequel to the 2007 film Awarapan, it stars Emraan Hashmi, Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi in the leading roles. The film also has a strong supporting cast, including Suvinder Vicky, Vijyant Kohli and Atul Kumar. 

Awarapan is still remembered for his memorable melodious songs. In the sequel, the music is composed by multiple artists featuring Mithoon, Amaal Malik, Akhil Sachdeva and Jeet Gangguli. Awarapan 2 is all set to be released on 14 August 2027.

The film serves as an official sequel to the 2007 cult classic Awarapan, with Emraan Hashmi reprising his iconic character, Shivam Pandit. The story explores themes of redemption, resurrection, and sacrifice, following Shivam as he is brought back from the dead to navigate the crime world once again. 

The trailer of the movie is yet to be released. However, the makers have released an official teaser from the film. The teaser marks the return of Emraan Hashmi as Shivam Pandit after 19 long years. It follows a man burdened by grief, loss, and loneliness, searching for a reason to move forward. Narrated in Emraan Hashmi’s voice, every frame carries an emotional weight that stays with you long after the teaser ends.

The closing dialogue, “Is Baar Yeh Awarapaan Khatam Hoga, Yaa Main,” is undoubtedly the biggest highlight. It leaves a lasting impact and perfectly sets the tone for what promises to be an intense emotional journey. 

Emraan Hashmi is undoubtedly the biggest highlight of the teaser. He looks physically transformed and completely slips back into the role of Shivam Pandit with remarkable ease. The teaser also offers brief glimpses of Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi, both of whom leave a positive first impression. While their roles remain under wraps, they certainly add intrigue to the film.

The action sequences shown in the teaser also look promising. However, a clearer picture of the film’s scale and narrative will emerge once the official trailer is released.
