24th February, Mumbai: After eight years of a long break, coke studio is back in India with the name coke studio Bharat.
And this time you will witness many singers in the show from Diljit Dosanjh to Jasleen Royal and many others, not only this but this time regional music and regional singers are also being included.
Within the long break taken by a studio, it witnessed positive growth and success in Pakistan coke studio and therefore it did a comeback in India.
After the comeback of the studio, the first song that got released was “Udja” and was performed by OAFF and Savera, it is the first track of the coke studio. Burrah and Jasleen Royal were featured in it. It received a total of 30 million views on YouTube.
And finally now in this week coke studio released a completely new track for the upcoming festival of Holi, named as “Holi Re Rasiya”. This song has a brajbhashi accent and essence. This song is sung by maithili thakur with actor Ravi Kishan and rapper of Delhi seedhe maut has been featured as the vocalist. In an interview Ravi Kishan said “This has been a fun experience for me, to be recognized by Coke Studio Bharat and to work together with young talents who bring in different genres to the platform. I have sung a few songs in the past that had a traditional touch, but to be a part of traditional and new-age music together was a thrilling experience.”
The song is composed by Kausar Munir and co-composed by Ankur Tiwari, who also composed “Udja.” His original music was featured in the film Gehraiyaan, and will soon be featured in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies. The song has a remix of culture and traditions along with modernization.
This wonderful song will increase the joy, and enjoyment of the festival of colors Holi. The rap in the song has added a different shade and a new exposure to the song.
