24th February, Mumbai: ‘Pathaan’ has once again shown its strength at the box office on Wednesday. The film is earning crores even on the 29th day. On the other hand, both Karthik Aryan’s ‘Shehzada’ and Marvel’s ‘Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania’ are in bad shape. The atmosphere is about to change with the release of ‘Selfie’ on Friday.

After the super success of ‘Pathaan’, the box office market has started cooling down. Both the films released on Friday, Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Shehzada’ and Marvel’s ‘Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania’ are in bad condition. ‘Nani Yaad Aa Gayi’ has helped both these films to earn profits in 6 days. But it is interesting that even on the 29th day of its release, Shah Rukh Khan’s film seems successful in pulling the audience to the theatre. On Wednesday, ‘Pathan’ once again made a net collection of Rs 1 crore from the Hindi version in the country. While ‘Shehzada’ had to be content with earning Rs 1.50 crore on the 6th day itself. ‘Ant-Man 3’ earned just Rs 1.90 crore in the country on Wednesday. In this too, the film’s earning from the Hindi version is only Rs 80 lakh.

Pathaan Collection Worldwide

The total net collection of Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Pathan’ has now gone up to Rs 495.65 crore from the Hindi version in the country. In terms of gross collection, it has crossed the 500 crore mark. While on the 29th day of release, the film has collected a worldwide collection of around Rs 2 crore. In this way, the total worldwide earnings of ‘Pathan’ is now Rs 1005 crores. The good thing for ‘Pathan’, directed by Siddharth Anand, is that it still rests in theatres with full force. On an average, 10 out of 100 seats are seen in the shows of ‘Pathan’ in theatres. While the audience occupancy of ‘Shahzada’ and ‘Ant-Man 3’ is 6-8 percent.

Pathan Box Office Collection (Hindi) Day Wise

1st week – 348.00 crore (nine days)

2nd week – 90.00 crore

3rd week – 44.90 crore

Friday (24th Day) – 2.15 crore

Saturday (25th Day) – 3.25 crore

Sunday (26th Day) – 4.00 crore

Monday (27th Day) – 1.25 crore

Tuesday (28th Day) – 1.10 crore

Wednesday (29th Day) – 1.00 crore

Total Earning – 495.65 crore

Earnings of ‘Pathaan’ will increase from Friday, ‘Selfie’ will not cause much harm!

The earnings of Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham starrer ‘Pathan’ are going to see a jump once again on Friday. Coming to the weekend, once again this film will do good business, it is guaranteed. On the other hand, on February 24, Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi’s ‘Selfie’ is also releasing. However, due to this film, ‘Shehzada’ and ‘Ant-Man 3’ are going to suffer more than ‘Pathan’. ‘Selfie’ is releasing across 2000 screens across the country. Looking at the losses, theater owners may further reduce the shows of ‘Shehzada’ and ‘Ant-Man 3’. In such a situation, in the coming days only ‘Selfie’ and ‘Pathan’ are going to earn at the ticket window.

‘Shehzada’, directed by Rohit Dhawan, has given a big blow to Karthik Aryan. His previous film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ proved to be a super hit at the box office. But ‘Shehzada’ has gone cold since its opening day. Made on a budget of Rs 95 crore, ‘Shehzada’ has earned Rs 1.50 crore on Wednesday, taking its total to Rs 25.40 crore. It is likely to suffer more due to the release of new film ‘Selfie’ on Friday. If ‘Selfie’ manages to impress the audience, then there is little chance of ‘Shehzada’ increasing its collections over the weekend as well. As the situation is, if this film of Karthik Aryan now reaches the lifetime figure of Rs 35 crore, then it will be a matter of pride.

Shehzada Box Office Collection Daywise

Day 1, Friday – 5.75 crore

Day 2, Saturday – 6.75 crore

Day 3, Sunday – 7.50 crore

Day 4, Monday – 2.15 crore

Day 6, Wednesday – 1.50 crore

Total Collection – 25.40 crore

‘Ant-Man 3′ proves to be Marvel’s weakest film

‘Ant-Man 3’ has disappointed the theatres and the audience the most. This has proved to be Marvel’s weakest film so far. Earlier released MCU films ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ and ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ earned very well compared to this new film. It is also surprising that Marvel Cinematic Universe has started its Phase-5 with ‘Ant-Man 3’. That means there is a new twist in the story. But it seems that the Indian audience has made up their mind to watch this film on OTT only. One of the major reasons for this film being thrashed in India is that the popularity of ‘Ant-Man’ is a bit less as compared to other superheroes. However, ‘Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantum Mania’ has earned Rs 31.65 crore in six days. It is very possible that the film’s earnings will increase slightly on the weekend.

Ant-Man 3 Box Office Collection Daywise

Day 1, Friday – 8.50 crore

Day 2, Saturday – 9.00 crore

Day 3, Sunday – 8.00 crore

Day 4, Monday – 2.25 crore

Day 5, Tuesday – 2.00 crore

Day 6, Wednesday – 1.90 crore

Total Collection – 31.65 crore

Now it is to be seen which film steals the show. Will pathaan still remain unbeatable? Can Selfiee end the dry spell for Akshay Kumar?
