The movie starring Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, and Tabu won’t be stopped at the box office. An Action Hero, a recent release, hasn’t stopped the movie from making money and succeeding at the box office. With Drishyam 2, the weekend box office appears to be gradually improving as its third Saturday displays significant increases in all categories. More people are attending the two-week-old movie than An Action Hero and Bhediya put together.
With Rs 15.38 crore, Drishyam 2 had a fantastic opening weekend at the box office on November 18. Since then, the movie has been an unstoppable force. Box Office India claims that “Drishyam 2 is unusual since it will likely at least double its collections and possibly more than double them, but more than that, there is growth for Bhediya and An Action Hero, which have not performed well and which would never have occurred six months ago.”
Drishyam 2 made Rs. 4.30 crore on Day 14. As a result, the movie earned a total of Rs 163.47 crore in home theatres. According to reports, estimates for Saturday, Day 16, range from Rs 8.25 to 8.5 crore net, and Sunday’s total may well surpass Rs 10 crore. The movie will soon surpass the 200-crore threshold if it keeps raking in strong numbers.
The sequel to “Drishyam,” in which Vijay Salgaonkar (Devgn) successfully rescued his family from police prison, introduces a fresh twist with the case being reopened and Vijay confessing, but will he actually do what the movie is about?
