Rahul Koli, 15, one of the six young actors in “Chhello Show” (The Last Film Show), India’s official submission to the 95th Academy Awards (Oscars), passed away on October 2. His debut movie became his swan song.
He passed away from leukaemia, for which he had been receiving therapy for the previous four months. On Monday, his family gathered a prayer gathering for him in his hometown of Hapa near Jamnagar. His father, Ramu Koli, became emotional as he discussed their most recent contacts.
Rahul Koli initially experienced a low-grade fever that persisted despite numerous treatments. After that, he would be transferred to Jamnagar for more care before being hospitalised in Ahmedabad.
“On Sunday, October 2, he ate breakfast. Then, in the hours that followed, he experienced several episodes of fever. Finally, Rahul vomited blood three times, and my kid passed away instantly. Our entire family is in shock. However, once we complete his last purification ceremonies on October 14, we will watch his “last film show” together “Koli cried and said.
According to the autorickshaw driver, Rahul is the oldest of three siblings. “Despite our lack of wealth, Rahul’s desire meant the world to us. Rahul’s illness required us to sell our rickshaw, but when the film crew learned they had acquired it back for us, they apologised “he added.
Pan Nalin told that the news is distressing for everyone connected to the project. He said, “We have been with the family for weeks, taking care of Rahul, but ultimately he could not be saved.
