This movie was released in the year 1984, and the movie is inspired by a real life expose by the journalist Ashwin Sarin, of The Indian Express. Journalist Ashwin sarin is best known for digging the hole and exposing various biggest scandals.
In this movie a Delhi based journalist is seen buying a girl and later exposes the prostitution racket during a press conference . This movie was released in the year 1980 and depicts the story which goes like When a politician is killed, a journalist discovers that a member of parliament had the man assassinated. As his editor digs deeper, the complicity of higher-placed politicians comes to the surface, which leads to riots in one town and an attempt to suppress his story. The role of journalist is played by Shashi Kapoor . Trying to solve the case of politicians murder, the journalist himself falls in the trap of power and politics but at the end succeeds in bringing up the truth.
