With the recently released movie “Brahmastra,” Telugu superstar Nagarjuna makes a comeback in Bollywood 20 years after his performance in the movie “LOC Kargil.” In a recent media interview, the actor admitted that despite receiving enticing offers from Bollywood, he consistently declined them for various reasons.
According to Nagarjuna, “I was being cast in amazing roles. But I tend to stay at home. I enjoy residing in Hyderabad. I consistently played really unique characters in Bollywood. People-pleasers have been a priority in everything I’ve done from the start. I never sought out any of the parts that did come hunting for me.”
Nagarjuna explained why he thought “Brahmastra” was the ideal project for his comeback: “A movie like “Brahamastra” is the ideal medium. Since the bridges are now open, everyone is moving around. And because Indians enjoy watching movies and playing cricket, the country has consolidated its industries, as it should. I’m overjoyed that this movie promoted industry expansion and gave performers opportunities to perform in a variety of roles in several languages.”
