Due to the uproar surrounding the song “Besharam Rang,” it was recently reported in the media that some protesters even burned effigies of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. For those who are unaware, the song from the movie Pathaan has allegedly outraged some lawmakers and right-wing groups who have criticised the filmmakers for forcing the actress to wear a saffron-colored bikini and for taking issue with the dancing steps, branding them “corrupt.” Some of them now made an attempt to obstruct Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki, which stars SRK and is now in production.
According to estimates, some Bajrang Dal and Vishnu Parishad members attempted to oppose and obstruct the Dunki filming, which was taking place in some of Jabalpur’s most attractive locales, including the city’s Dhuadhar waterfall and the marble rock location Bhedaghat. These accounts imply that the protesters shouted slogans and even tried to cross the police-erected barricades while the movie was being made. Despite reports that Shah Rukh Khan and the other leading actors were not there, demonstrations persisted, with some demonstrators even yelling insults at the Jabalpur Collector for allowing the film’s crew to shoot in the city.
Priyanka Shukla, the city superintendent, was reported by PTI as stating, “We exhibited caution. The Jabalpur collector granted permission for the shooting schedule to go place. The shooting was finished on Friday. The demonstrators gave the tehsildar a paper asking him to stop the shooting.
Pathaan is anticipated to debut on January 25, 2023, although Dunki is anticipated to be the year’s last film. Shah Rukh Khan and renowned filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani team together for the first time on this project, which also features Taapsee Pannu in the main role. On December 22, it is expected to premiere on theatre screens.
