Bollywood has been dreams of millions around the world and it takes determination and dream to
reach the gold sport. And Abhilash Thapliyal has brought his Bollywood dream into reality. A
small town boy from Uttarakhand made his way in the entertainment industry from his
undergraduate day back in Delhi University. He reached out to audience firstly through radio
stations like 94.3 Radio One, Fever 104 FM and 93.5 Red FM. It was Abhilash’s voice that paved is
way up to the TV screen. He also did voiceover for various TV channels such as National Geographic,
Fox History, Hungama, Bindass and Cartoon Network, etc.
With his passion and vibrant personality, Abhilash moved further to host the major sports events like
World Kabaddi League, Formula and hosted for Delhi Daredevils in IPL 2013, 2014 and 2015. With
sheer desire to raise his bar, he eventually landed to host glamorous red carpet for GIMA in 2016.
Even companies like Hindustan Times and Google Maps TVC couldn’t hold themselves back from
making Abhilash the face of their events.
After achieving success at his every move, it shouldn’t a wonder to know how gracefully Abhilash is
making his name in film industries. Abhilash debuted through his first Bollywood movie Dil Juunglee
in 2018 starring alongside Taapsee Pannu and Saqib Saleem. He etched his performance on
thousands of minds through his performance which was immensely impressive. He went on to
impress his fans through movies like ‘Raksha Bandhan’, ‘Atrangi Re’, ‘Kitna’ and now with his
recently released movie ‘Blurr’. The plays antagonist alongside Taapsee Pannu where he plays the
character called ‘Chander’. Abhilash recalls an interesting phone call from Taapsee Pannu he
received midnight asking him if was interested the role of Chander instead of the small role of a
hotel manager he was assigned for in ‘Blurr’. Talking about Chander from Blurr, Abhilash expressed
his excitement as an antagonist against Taapsee in a double role of twin sister. Audiences already
seem to be awe struck post release and Abhilash has been outpoured with appreciation and
recognition from film fraternity and his fans all around.
Before this Abhilash has been recognized in web series like TVF Inmates, TVF Aspirants and Faadu.
Moreover, Abhilash has been awarded at New York 2013, New York 2014, Goa Fest Abby 2015 (all
three awards best Radio Jockey for Fever 104 FM), MTV India Promax 2017 and The Quint VdoNxt
2018 for acting.
