'Divorce Process Start…’ Netizens REACT As Sunita Ahuja Visits Family Court Amid Public Spat With Govinda

Sunita Ahuja is once again at the centre of divorce rumours after she was spotted outside a family court in Mumbai with her son, Yashvardhan Ahuja. A viral video of the two has now spread across social media, with many users connecting the visit to the ongoing tension between Sunita and Govinda.

Sunita and Yashvardhan were seen at the Bandra family court on Wednesday, August 19. Their appearance immediately raised questions about the reason behind the visit. So far, however, neither of them has explained why they were at the court.

In the video, paparazzi can be heard asking Sunita about her visit. Instead of giving a serious answer, she joked, “Birthday manane aaye hain (We have come to celebrate a birthday).”

Yashvardhan did not seem comfortable with the attention. He appeared irritated by the questions and asked the paparazzi to move aside.

The video quickly became a talking point online. Many social media users assumed that Sunita Ahuja’s appearance had something to do with her marriage to Govinda.

Some even claimed that the couple could be heading for divorce. However, there is still no official confirmation that the court visit was connected to their marriage.

One Instagram user wrote, “Divorce process start. So painful.”

Another commented, “Looks like another FAMOUS DIVORCE on the CARDS.”

A third user said, “Govinda ne apni hasti khelti family ko bhi barbaad kar diya.”

For now, these are only reactions from social media users. Sunita’s reason for visiting the court has not been made public.

The latest buzz comes after several public remarks from Sunita Ahuja and Govinda put their marriage back in the spotlight.

Sunita has previously spoken about alleged infidelity in their marriage. More recently, she reportedly called Govinda the “sugar daddy” of his new co-star Komal Rani while making claims about their relationship.

Govinda appeared to respond to those remarks. He urged Sunita to stop abusing him and have some control over her language.

The 62-year-old actor also addressed speculation about his pairing with a much younger actress. He made it clear that working with a younger co-star does not automatically mean that he is having an affair with her.

The couple has faced divorce rumours before as well. A divorce petition was reportedly filed at the Bandra Family Court on December 5, 2024. The reported grounds included adultery, cruelty and desertion under the Hindu Marriage Act.

The filing came to light months later. In February 2025, Govinda’s lawyer and family friend Lalit Bindal confirmed that a divorce petition had been filed. At the same time, he maintained that Sunita and Govinda were still together and suggested that they were not heading towards a permanent separation.
