The Review :
We have always praised movies that have done much more than a film to the audience. The film makes you dive into the minor yet important aspects of the character’s lives. While thrill and drama is the face of the movie, it also evovles around some serious life issues. It will pull your heart out of emotions. The concept of the movie drives your thoughts through various emotional aspects.
The film starts as the parents of a middle-class stubborn guy (Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta) work and try hard to fullfil their child’s wish of working Abroad. Shambhunath Mishra, the dad, a retired middle school teacher lives a mundane life with his wife Manju Mishra in Gwalior. The loans become their only option and the problem too. The villan of the film (Prajapati Pandey) enters as the film proceeds. The alcoholic local loan shark had committed grave wrongdoing. The movie goes into thrill when one day Prajapati Pandey finds out about the girl who Shambhunath teaches at home as she has a poor livehood. He then asks Shambhunath to bring her that girl in return of his remaning loans which leads Shambhunath to kill him.
Manju Mishra (Neena Gupta), his wife, gets devastated as she witnesses the murder and stops talking to his husband out of shock. How Shambhunath then hides the crime scene and turns the game is what you need to witness in the movie.
Talking about the acting, You already know what classic of an actors Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta are! The duo has indeed created the magic and Absolute keen work can be seen by both the actors. Neena Gupta literally lived the character and it is clearly visible in the movie. Also, Sanjay Mishra, on the other hand, made it all very real and relateable. The Villan of the film, Saurabh Sachdeva, did a pretty good job. He had done some of the great roles earlier which also includes his role in Sacred Games.
What doesn’t work in the movie :
The story could have been made more interesting by introducing more characters and adding more thrill at some places which seemed emotionally weak. If feels as if the screenplay lacked at some places and they could have sharpened the screenplay more.
Lastly, the film will be out in theatres on 9th december, 2022 and It deserves an eye atleast for the efforts that are put in. Yet, Sanjay and Neena top the list of why you should watch the film. The concept is fresh and all it needs is a good push from the audience.
