Plus Points

  1. Acting of the lead actors Ram Charan & Jr NTR is terrific and all other supporting actors too, performed well. Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn have a smaller role.
  2. Director S.S Rajamouli once again proved as to why he is the best director. His direction is extra-ordinary. He has managed to keep the audience engaged into the drama right from the word. He has an amazing vision and he put it on the celluloid in a great style.
  3. Music is not that great but one song
Nacho Nacho .. has been picturized on a massive scale which is eye pleasing with an amazing choreography.
  4. Screenplay by S.S. Rajamouli is first class. It’s full of twists and turns. Though the story is pure work of fiction, it has been beautifully written.
  5. Visualisation of the film is beyond imagination. This film is on par with any international films in terms of Photography, Costumes, actions etc.
  6. Action scenes are breathtaking. It’s truly the biggest action-drama ever witnessed.
  7. About 8-10 sequences are mind-blowing which are again pictured on a grand scale.
  8. The film has comedy, love, romance and action filled with patriotic feelings to keep the viewers interest alive throughout.
  9. The production design, VFX and special effects played an indispensable role in the film.
  10. In the climax, film takes the viewers to mythological level which would be loved and applauded by the audience.

Minus Points

  1. As per the trailer, the subject of the film ‘British rule’ is outdated. Some audience may find this film boring as it has no typical bollywood masala.
  2. The length of the film is the biggest concern. Many scenes could have been trimmed, especially in the second half.
  3. Film doesn’t have much face value for the Hindi audience. Ram Charan and Junior NTR are not popular in the Hindi belt.
  4. Dialogues (Sai Madhav Burra) could have been hard hitting. Many dialogues are in English without subtitles.
  5. Film doesn’t have any super hit song.
    Box Office
The film has got a bumper opening in Andhra Pradesh. However, in the Hindi belt, the response is below average. It could generate only 8 CR advance booking (probably due to high ticket rates of 700 to 1200).

Exams and IPL season are likely to hamper collections of the film in the weeks to come. However, it has an advantage as the craze of ‘The Kashmir files’ has decreased to a great extent. Also, last week’s release ‘Bachchhan Pandey’ too, failed to perform at the box office.

The movie trailer was not interesting and this could be the reason of their poor opening in hindi belt. But with good reviews & strong word of mouth, it has all the ingredients to be a block buster (especially in the south).

First day world wide collection is expected to be over 200 CR (out of which +100cr would be from Andhra Pradesh alone.
