Saif Ali Khan is currently enjoying himself thanks to the success of Vikram Vedha, a movie in which Hrithik Roshan plays a crucial part. This Hindi adaptation of the Tamil film starring Vijay Sethupathi and R Madhavan was made by Gayatri and Pushkar. Saif’s decision to play a protagonist opposite Hrithik in the movie must have been difficult, yet he nevertheless gave his all in a ground-breaking performance. Khan recently discussed why, despite Bollywood’s current slump, he was optimistic that the movie would succeed at the box office.
When asked about the release of Vikram Vedha and how it happened at a time when Bollywood was at its lowest point, Saif Ali Khan said as follows in an interview with Firstpost, “It really is concerning and worrying that films are not doing well. It is a business and it gets affected. Terms start to get dictated by different platforms. It is very important for films to be successful at the box office for the film industry to run in a healthy creative way. Obviously, for that, we need to make movies that the audience love. Sometimes it is disheartening to read reviews that say we’ve forgotten to make films. We now have outsiders coming to Bollywood to show us how to make good films.”
