This year witnessed alot of films in which more than half of the films couldn’t perform well. Some of the films did win hearts of the people. Well, the year is about to end but, the Bollywood isn’t! Here are some of the Bollywood films which are releasing in December 2022 to make sure it is an ‘Happy Ending.’
• An Action Hero
Release : 2 December

Cast: Ayushmann Khurrana, Jaideep Ahlawat, Mirabel Stuart, Rachit Jadoun
In his newest performance, Ayushmann Khurrana plans to play outside of his comfort zone. No points for guessing who will watch him play: an action hero. The actor will play Manav, a movie star who is charged with murdering a guy. Jaideep’s Bhoora is fast to catch up as he runs to London without being caught. The two will engage in an exciting cat-and-mouse chase throughout the movie.
• Freddy

Cast: Kartik Aaryan, Alaya F, Tripti Agarwal, Jeniffer Piccinato
Kartik Aaryan’s most recent movie, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, was a comedy-horror. He will depart from his customary silliness and comedy roles in his upcoming movie, Freddy. The actor portrays Freddy Ginwala, a socially awkward dentist with a secret sinister side, in the suspenseful film. To summarise the story, the movie “His trailer included a dead body and him pulling teeth, hinting at a twisting edge-of-your-seat encounter. Take what you will from that.
• Salaam Venky

Cast: Kajol, Vishal Jethwa, Aamir Khan, Rahul Bose, Rajeev Khandelwal, Aahana Kumra
Salaam Venky, the upcoming film by Revathy, will mark Kajol’s return to the big screen. Sujata (Kajol), a mother, and her son Vishul (Jethwa), who has a fatal illness, are the subjects of this moving story. Based on a true story, the tearjerker promises an emotional rollercoaster. The movie’s teaser also teased Aamir Khan’s appearance. After Fanaa, this will be Kajol and Aamir’s first on-screen pairing again.

Cast: Taapsee Pannu, Gulshan Devaiah, Kruttika Desai, Abhilash Thapliyal
After Dobaara, Taapsee Pannu appears to be back with another dark thriller. She will play two roles in the upcoming movie, which will be her first as an executive producer. In Blurr, Taapsee Pannu plays a young woman named Gayatri who is on a quest to learn the truth about her twin sister’s suicide-mystery death. The irony is that Gayatri is also gradually losing her vision while her sister Gautami had already lost her sight. Before she loses her vision, she must discover the truth.
• Pipaa

Cast: Ishaan Khatter, Mrunal Thakur, Soni Razdan, Priyanshu Painyuli
Although not much is known about Pippa, we do know that it is based on the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. The Burning Chaffees, a book by Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta that recounts actual events, used as the inspiration for the movie. Ishaan Khatter, who starred in the movie Phone Bhoot, will portray Captain Mehta, a soldier who fought with his siblings on the front lines. Additionally, Mrunal Thakur will play his sister in the movie, and Soni Razdan will play his mother.
• Marrich

Director: Dhruv Lather
Cast: Tusshar Kapoor, Anita Hassanandani Reddy, Naseeruddin Shah, Rahul Dev
Maarrich is one of the thrillers that December has to offer. The movie marks Tusshar Kapoor’s long-awaited return to acting. He portrays a police officer tasked with looking into two shocking murders that happened across the country.
• Govinda Naam Mera

Cast: Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani, Bhumi Pednekar, Viraj Ghelani, Dayanand Shetty
A comic thriller called Govinda Naam Mera! When the trailer for the movie with an impressive cast, including Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani, and Bhumi Pednekar, arrived, viewers were taken aback. The plot follows the titular Govinda, a struggling choreographer. Gauri (Bhumi), his wife, is having an affair, and he is dating Suku (Kiara). However, when Govinda becomes involved in a murder investigation, their lives are completely upended.

Cast: Neena Gupta, Sanjay Mishra
Vadh, starring strong performances, depicts the tale of a middle-class couple “s battle for survival. As the guy admits to killing his wife, the movie teases an eerie, tragic tale. While Neena Gupta is best known for films like Badhaai Ho and the recently released Uunchaai and Sanjay Mishra was last seen in a comedic role in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, the actors” casting in a dark movie brings up exciting possibilities.
• Cirkus

Director: Rohit Shetty
Cast: Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra
Our 2022 bingo card does not include a Rohit Shetty-directed film about a circus culture that was influenced by the 1982 film Angoor, yet here we are. Cirkus, which is set in the 1960s, will have a double role for Ranveer Singh. The movie, in which Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Sharma, and other important actors play key roles, follows a Cirkus manager and his team of gymnasts as they struggle to survive in a dwindling business.
There are a lot of popcorn attractions in December, but it’s evident that thrillers will predominate at the box office and on streaming. It appears that movie lovers are in for an exciting holiday season.
