The actress declared during the occasion that she is willing to run for office from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh if the electorate supports her and the BJP offers her a ticket.
The Simran actress responded, “Jis tarah ke haalat honge, government chahegi mera involvement ho, vo I will be very much open to all forms of participation,” when asked if she had any plans to enter politics. She continued, “As I stated, I would be honoured if the people of Himachal Pradesh gave me the opportunity to serve. So it will undoubtedly be sobhagya ki baat.”
The actress from Tanu Weds Manu also discussed the Assembly elections in the hill state. She said, “Himachal Pradesh won’t fall for the Aam Aadmi Party’s bogus promises” (AAP).
