Shatrughan, affectionately known as “Shotgun,” started his acting career in 1970 with Dev Anand’s “Prem Pujari.” Shatrughan, a native of Patna, Bihar, became well-known after his debut movie as the lead hero, “Kaalicharan,” became a commercial success. His rise to prominence from being a star villain to being a celebrity is arguably the biggest success tale in Bollywood. Sinha is a politician, actor, and devoted father. Shatrughan is a Bollywood actor who has a bachelor’s degree in science, unlike other actors in Bollywood who are not educated. His education ended in Patna Science College. The actor completed a diploma in acting at the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune after receiving his degree. Shatru relocated to Mumbai after completing his schooling in order to pursue his huge Bollywood dream. Prem Pujari, a film starring Dev Anand, provided him with his debut acting opportunity.

The nimble actor joined politics by running in a by-election against Rajesh Khanna, a famed actor. Sinha was defeated by Khanna, nonetheless, by 25,000 votes. He won the Bihar constituency of Patna Sahib in the general elections of 2009. From 2009 to 2019, he served as Bihar’s lower house representative. The actor joined Mamta Banerjee’s TMC in March 2022. Sinha worked as a cabinet minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee administration in 1999. He was in charge of the Department of Shipping and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, respectively.

For his contributions to Indian film, the “Kaalicharan” star was given two lifetime achievement awards in 2017 (by Filmfare) and 2014 (by IFFA).

He became a playback vocalist in 1981 for the comedy-drama “Naram Garam” directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. For the song “Ek Baat Suni Hai Chachaji,” he provided his vocals.

Shatru’s personal favourite actors are Nargis and Raj Kapoor, despite the fact that the actor himself has a sizable fan base and is still regarded as Bollywood’s all-time “favourite villain.”

Shatrughan and his wife Poonam are the owners of the production company Shotgun Movies.

Although the “Dostana” actor has a passion for music, yoga is reportedly one of his favourite hobby.
