15th March, Mumbai: Actress Priyanka Chopra moved to the West almost 8 years ago and was successful in establishing her presence there through her work. Her breakthrough role came in the American TV series “Quantico”. After that, she started her journey in Hollywood with the movie “Baywatch” alongside Dwayne Johnson in 2017 and played many important roles. Now, she is waiting for the release of Russo Brothers’ highly anticipated series, “Citadel”. Recently, the actress talked about going to Hollywood and also responded to Shah Rukh Khan’s comment by saying that she will never go to Hollywood.
During the promotion of “Citadel”, an interviewer asked Priyanka Chopra about Shah Rukh Khan’s comment, quoting him as saying, “Why should I go there (Hollywood) when I am comfortable here?” To this, Priyanka replied, “Comfortable is boring for me. I am not arrogant, I am confident.”When I go on set, I know what I’m doing. I’m ready to audition, I’m ready to work. When I go to other countries, I don’t carry the burden of my success in one country.”
She spoke about her professionalism and how she takes pride in it. She credited her father, who was in the military, for teaching her the value of discipline and not taking things for granted.
Priyanka Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan have starred in hit movies like “Don” and “Don 2”.
Priyanka Chopra is set to star in the upcoming spy-thriller web series “Citadel”, produced by the Russo Brothers (directors of Marvel’s Avengers films). The show is expected to premiere on Amazon Prime Video, and will feature a global ensemble cast. She will play a lead role in the series, which has been described as a “multi-layered global franchise with interconnected local language productions from India, Italy and Mexico.”
