The fantasy drama “Brahmastra” by Ayan Mukerji is having an incredible run at the box office. The movie, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna and stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, has so far made 360 crore rupees globally. Recently, the movie outperformed “The Kashmir Files,” one of the few films to do well after the pandemic in terms of box office revenue.
Vivek Agnihotri commented on “Brahmastra” surpassing “The Kashmir Files” on Monday. He implicitly accused the producers of “Brahmastra” in this tweet of employing unethical methods to promote their movie and added that he is not a part of the rivalry or, for that matter, Bollywood.
His tweet read, “Hahahaha. I don’t know how did they beat #TheKashmirFiles… with sticks, rods, hockey… or AK47 or stones…. Or with paid PR and influencers? Let Bollywood films compete with each other. Leave us alone. I am not in that dumb race. Thanks. #NotBollywood ?? ?? ??.”
It is important to note that “The Kashmir Files” was marketed by the government, that it was deemed tax free in certain areas, and that there were numerous screenings where viewers could view the movie for free. All of these factors had a favourable effect on Vivek’s movie’s commercial appeal.
