17th March, Mumbai: Aishwarya Rai once remarked about being told she was ‘a cold fish, non-actress’ in an old interview. She said that she was in “poor shape,” as reported in the media.
Aishwarya had also spoken out about what was said about her in the media – from being labelled ‘a cold fish, a non-actress’ to being informed she was ‘in a dreadful shape’. Given that she was “receiving at least two offers every day,” Aishwarya claimed that she was “hassle-free” despite what had been stated about her.
“The media claims that I am in poor health. My movies aren’t performing well, and I’m supposed to be a chilly fish and non-actor. Because I feel hassle-free, (I look so hassle-free), thank you. Every day, I receive at least two offers. But I’m waiting; I prefer to think things out before acting.” The actor stated that the faith that the producers, directors, distributors exhibited in her ‘kept her going’. Aishwarya had said, “Boy, it does,” when asked if being dubbed a non-actress upset her. Just give me some space. I’ll disprove everyone because I’m developing daily. I’m really enjoying the time of my life right now. I’ve been written off by a portion of the industry and the media, but I’m ready to go. The belief that the filmmakers, producers, and, dare I say it, distributors have in me is what keeps me going. That is heartfelt.
