Vaani Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha grabbed media attention yesterday. Sonakshi Sinha, who is eagerly anticipating the film “Double XL,” in which her lover Zaheer Iqbal co-stars, has reportedly joined the cast of Ashim Ahluwalia’s upcoming film, “A Girl In The Yellow Suitcase.” In the same movie, Vaani Kapoor co-stars with Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter.
It’s an Atul Kasbekar-Tanuj Garg movie, after all. Under their production company Ellipsis Entertainment, it will be made.
Additionally, we now know that the movie will be a thriller. The pre-production work is well underway. Both Tanuj and Atul had input into Sonakshi and Vaani’s casting. A source reports, “Both of them believe Sonakshi and Vaani are suitable for their roles. Also true of Ahluwalia.”
“Sonakshi and Vaani did not take long to say ‘yes’ to the project,” the insider continues.
Director Ashim Ahluwalia has won National Awards for his work on the films “Daddy,” “Miss Lovely,” and “John and Jane.” His most recent work, “Palace of Horrors,” is a short horror movie that is a part of the “The Field Guide to Evil” series.
Shikhar Dhawan, a cricketer, also appears in “Double XL.” Two obese ladies who have endured body shaming their entire lives are the subject of the film.
Additionally, Sonakshi is working on the Riteish Deshmukh-starrer “Kakuda.”
Vaani’s last, opposite Ranbir Kapoor- ‘Shamshera’ did not perform well at the box office.
