14th March, Mumbai: At the Indian box office, Selfiee, starring Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi, has been a complete disaster. Because it was a remake, there was always scepticism about the movie’s viability at the box office; nonetheless, the sad reality is that this tremendous hit has been flatly rejected.
In the meantime, Akshay Kumar, whose last movie “Selfiee” added to his long list of box office failures, claimed that the failure of his films was entirely his fault and that one shouldn’t blame the public for disliking a particular movie.
According to reports, he said: “This is not the first time anything bad has occurred to me. At one point in my professional career, I had 16 straight failures. There was a time when I had eight consecutive unsuccessful projects. At this point, I’ve had three or four unsuccessful movies in a succession. The issue is that, rather than being a result of the movie not working, it happens due to your carelessness. You must change yourself to adapt to the changing audience. The audience demands that you start over because they want to see something different.”
