Salman Khan’s latest release, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, is facing a lackluster run at the box office. On the eighth day of its release, the film’s collection did not see a significant increase, managing to earn only Rs. 1.93 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. This brings the film’s total nett collection in India to approximately Rs. 92.08 crore, which is a dismal number for a Salman Khan starrer. However, the gross collection currently stands at Rs. 106.5 crore.
As per reports from Sacnilk, the film’s occupancy rate in the Hindi market was only 9.64% on Friday, resulting in a meager net collection of less than Rs. 2 crore. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’s box office performance started to dip on its fifth day, with a drop in earnings from Tuesday to Thursday.
This movie marks the fifth consecutive film of Salman Khan that has failed to live up to box office expectations. The last time he delivered a blockbuster hit was in 2017 with Tiger Zinda Hai, which earned Rs. 339.16 crore during its theatrical run.
Fans and industry insiders are eagerly waiting for Salman Khan’s upcoming film Tiger 3, which is set to release in 2022. The movie features Katrina Kaif opposite Salman Khan and is expected to revive the actor’s box office performance. The previous two films in the franchise, Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai, were huge commercial successes, grossing Rs. 320 crore and Rs. 339.16 crore, respectively.
With the promising track record of the franchise, fans have high hopes for Tiger 3 to smash the box office upon its release.
