24 May 2023, Mumbai: “Fast X,” the latest action-packed installment in the Fast & Furious franchise starring Vin Diesel and Jason Momoa, has experienced a decline in its box office collection in India. Despite earning in single digits, the film has managed to accumulate an impressive Rs 71 crore so far. Let’s delve into the details of its performance on the sixth day.

Box Office Performance

After a strong start, “Fast X” has witnessed a downward trend in its collection. On the sixth day, the film earned just Rs 5 crore, continuing its recent trend of earning in single digits. Nevertheless, the total collection of “Fast X” in India now stands at approximately Rs 71 crore across languages including English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The film’s occupancy rate on May 23 was recorded at 10.40 percent. Directed by Louis Leterrier, “Fast X” is an American action film that serves as a sequel to “F9” (2021) and the eleventh installment in the Fast & Furious franchise. Vin Diesel shines as the lead character, Dominic Toretto, supported by an impressive ensemble cast including Jason Momoa, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, John Cena, and many more. The film follows Toretto as he safeguards his family from Dante Reyes (Momoa), who seeks revenge for his father’s demise and the loss of his family’s wealth.

Global Reception and Future Prospects

Helmed by Louis Leterrier, “Fast X” is poised to make a significant impact in the international market with estimated earnings of $252.7 million. Its global opening secures its position as the second-highest-grossing Hollywood film of the year, following The Super Mario Bros. Movie. While the film has received mixed reviews from critics, it is enjoying a successful run in the South Asian market, particularly in China. Despite experiencing a decline in its box office collection, “Fast X” continues to generate revenue and has amassed Rs 71 crore in India so far. As the film progresses, it remains to be seen how it performs in the coming days and whether it can regain momentum. Fans of the Fast & Furious franchise eagerly anticipate the thrilling action sequences and stellar performances delivered by the talented cast.
