29th May 2023, Mumbai : On Sunday, Prime minister Narendra Modi inaugurates the reputed New parliament building of India. This new complex will be evidence of a self-reliant India,” PM Modi stated in a speech. Narendra Modi and Lok sabha speaker Om Birla has arrived at the new parliament and attend the Havan and Pooja along with PM Modi.
The prime minister said – New parliament building makes every Indian proud, and it is true because every material is used to construct the building is from various states of India. Every state, every part describe India’s culture.
Carpets were sourced by Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, bamboo flooring from Tripura and stone carvings from Rajasthan, the new Parliament mirrors the cultural diversity of India. The teakwood used in the building was sourced from Nagpur in Maharashtra, while the red and white sandstone was procured from Sarmathura in Rajasthan. The sandstone for the Red Fort and Humayun’s Tomb in the national capital was also known to have sourced from Sarmathura. The Kesharia green stone has been procured from Udaipur, the red granite from Lakha near Ajmer and the white marble has been sourced from Ambaji in Rajasthan.
Not only this, the false ceiling in the Rajya Sabha and Lok sabha is sourced from Daman and Diu, The furniture is furnished by Mumbai, The ‘jaali’ works dotting the building were sourced from Rajnagar in Rajasthan and Noida in Uttar Pradesh. Coming to the material of Ashoka emblem that was from Aurangabad (Maharashtra) and Jaipur (Rajasthan), and the Ashok chakra, walls of Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha chambers the exterior of Parliament building is sourced from Indore Madhya Pradesh.
The new Lok Sabha Center is built on the theme of the national bird of India, and the Rajya Sabha is built on the theme of National flower of India Lotus.
Tata Projects won the contract to build the new Parliament building, a part of the Centre’s Central Vista redevelopment plans. Tata Projects had beaten Larsen and Toubro by offering to accomplish the project for Rs 861.9 crore. The new Parliament building is designed by Ahmedabad-based HCP Design, Planning and Management led by renowned architect Bimal Patel.
As soon as Inauguration is done, Celebrities gives a huge round of applause to Prime minister Narendra Modi for giving the new direction and light to the new parliament building, Today whole India is proud. PM modi said – The old parliament will be became the Museum for Common people. Actors like Anupam Kher, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar post their happiness towards PM Modi’s step.
Talking to the Twitter SRK Wrote –“What a magnificent new home for the people who uphold our Constitution, represent every citizen of this great Nation and protect the diversity of her one People @narendramodi ji. A new Parliament building for a New India but with the age old dream of Glory for India. Jai Hind! #MyParliamentMyPride.” Alongside the video featured his voice over. In the video shah Rukh Khan is saying –“My sincere prayers that the soul of democracy remains robust in its new home and continues to foster liberty, fraternity and equality for ages to come. May this new abode of democracy build a new age that is renowned for its scientific temper and empathy for all. A new parliament for a new India but with the same age old dream – the glory of India, of our nation. Jai Hind!” Meanwhile PM Modi liked the way SRK express his thought and said “Beautiful expressed”.
Also Anupam Kher took his Instagram handle and make a video in which Actor said in Hindi caption –“Samast bharat vaasiyon ko naye, aadhunik aur poorn roop se Bhartiya Sansad Bhavan ki haardik shubh kaamnayein aur badhaai. Prabhu se prarthana hai ki aane waale hazaaron saalon tak hamaara ye Sansad Bhavan duniya ke har desh ke liye prajatantra aur loktantra pranali ka ek anutha prateek bane. Jai Hind.”
Along with SRK and Anupam Kher, Akshay Kumar also make a personalized video and said –“Proud to see this glorious new building of the Parliament. May this forever be an iconic symbol of India’s growth story. #MyParliamentMyPride.”
Prime minister Narendra Modi also reply’s to Akshay Kumar and said –“The new Parliament is truly a beacon of our democracy. It reflects the nation’s rich heritage and the vibrant aspirations for the future. #MyParliamentMyPride.”
