Shivaji Satam

Shivaji Satam (born 21 April 1953) is an Indian television and film actor. He is best known for his role as ACP Pradyuman in the detective television series CId. Shivaji Satam attended school at the Antonio D'Souza High School, Byculla, Mumbai, later boarding at the Barnes High School, Devlali. He then returned to Mumbai to study at Maharshi Dayanand College.

Shivaji Satam, known for his portrayal of ACP Pradyuman in the long-running television series "CID", is a veteran actor with a career spanning Hindi and Marathi films and television.

He is best known for his role as ACP Pradyuman on the TV series C.I.D. on SET India. A former bank official and Inspection Officer, he has appeared in Hindi and Marathi films, including Vaastav, Ghulam-E-Mustafa, Kurukshetra, Fiza, Yeshwant, China Gate, Taxi No. 9211, Nayak, Jis Desh Me Ganga Reheta Hai, Sooryavansham, Hu Tu Tu. In Marathi, he has received recognition through movies like Uttarayan.

Shivaji Satam is best known for his iconic portrayal of ACP Pradyuman in the long-running Indian television series CID, a role that cemented his status as a household name. Beyond CID, he has also appeared in numerous Hindi and Marathi films, including "Vaastav", "Ghulam-E-Mustafa", and "Nayak", and has received recognition for his Marathi film work, such as "Uttarayan". 

• Shivaji Satam became a popular face by playing the role of ACP Pradyuman in Sony TV’s crime-thriller show CID, which is longest running Indian TV show that first telecasted on 21 January 1998.
• He grew up in the chawl locality of Mumbai.
• He started his career as a cashier in the Central Bank of India for 23 years, but his interest in theatre made him switch towards acting.
• Even before CID, he played the role of ACP in 1988s Marathi Ek Shunya Shunya as ACP in Shrikant Patkar.
• His personal favourite episode in CID is where he kills his son, who played the role of a terrorist.
• CID has registered its name in Guinness Book of World Records with an uncut episode lenght of 111 minutes.
