Daboo Malik was born on January 21, 1963, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, into a family of musicians. His father, Sardar Malik, was A noted music director, and his mother, Bilqis Malik, was the sister of legendary composer Hasrat Jaipuri. Daboo Malik is married to Jyothi Malik, and they have two sons: Amaal Malik, a famous music composer, and Armaan Malik, a famous playback singer. His family also includes his brother, the famous composer Anu Malik, and his father, the late musician Sardar Malik.
