Its been a pattern for Prabhas for quite a while now that his films releases, collects huge like absolutely devastating numbers at the box office in initial three to four days but then slams and shuts down completely. Either it be his Saho or Radhe Syam or Adipurush. This time he came up with a project that was much awaited by his fans, Salaar. The numbers which came in the first three days were devastating as expected. The fans came in huge numbers and inspite of the fact that it collided with another much awaited project, called dunki, the ultimate collaboration of Rajkumar Hirani and Srk himself, the film roared at the box office.
But after the mayhem in first three days, the film had massively dropped. Which means the word of mouth hadn’t been that great. The initial collection could be due to the masive fan following of Prabhas or the hyped collaboration of him with the KGF famed director Prashanth Neel, but the collection continues only on the strength of its story, acting and ability to attract audiences. And if the trends are to believed, the story hadn’t been able to captivate masses on its win. The film seems to be based on one formula which is a star of Yash calibre and a movie which is a lookalike of KGF.
This can also been confirmed that although Dunki started really slow in comparison to the previous two blockbusters that Shah Rukh Khan gave, is now catching speed and steadily is gaining momentum.
While everyone anticipated that with Salaar, Prabhas would be able to finally give a complete blockbuster after Bahubali, the film isn’t really able to do the justice to the anticipation. Salaar may go on to collect huge numbers but it woulb be no where near the highs of Bahubali.
