On September 30, the long-awaited movie Vikram Vedha finally hit theatres. The action film, starring Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan, has gotten off to a sluggish start. However, the positive word-of-mouth and absence of significant competition up until Diwali have given trade reason for optimism that it would eventually succeed at the box office.
The Vikram Vedha sequel has been in high demand in the meantime. The first-day reaction videos are rife with people praising the movie and clamouring for the production of Vikram Vedha’s sequel.
Interestingly, at the song premiere for “Alcoholia,” which took place two weeks ago in Mumbai, Hrithik Roshan made a suggestion regarding a potential sequel in the works. The cast of the movie, which included Hrithik, Radhika Apte, Rohit Saraf, Yogita Bihani, the Pushkar-Gayatri combination, and others, attended the occasion.
At this occasion, Radhika Apte jokingly said that she hoped she had the opportunity to dance with Hrithik Roshan in the song “Alcoholia.” Hrithik then responded, “We should start considering a follow-up for Radhika. Everyone will be on the same team, including Vikram, Vedha, and Priya (the character played by Radhika Apte), so we may all dance to another song like “Alcoholia” in part 2.”
The Vikram Vedha actress Yogita Bihani, who plays Chanda, also elicited laughter with her quip, “ro dungi main. Saath dhokha mere hua hai. I was assured that the song will feature me. It took me six months to learn Kathak. “Hrithik Roshan ke saath dance karna hai,” I exclaimed. Right on cue, my footwork! (laughs) Mila dance karne (lekin mujhe nahi).”
